I’ve always been obsessed with making things better. That insatiable curiosity pushed me to start finding solutions. As my career progressed and I got into business, I learned by staying in the arena—not watching from the sidelines.
For nearly three decades, I’ve built and rebuilt companies from the inside—selling, operating, negotiating deals, and making decisions when the stakes were real. Across five businesses, multiple exits, millions in revenue, and consulting for hundreds of organizations, I saw the same pattern repeat itself: organizations struggle not because they lack effort or ambition, but because they don’t truly understand what they need.
Too often, leaders rush toward solutions like new tools, new technology, and new processes before doing the harder work of understanding where value is actually created. I’ve experienced firsthand what happens when that work is skipped, and what’s possible when it isn’t. Stepping back, getting honest about what’s not working, and rebuilding with intention became the foundation of how I sell, how I lead, how I build, and how I advise.
